Ok, this is something I get asked about a lot!
With nearly 800 million users, LinkedIn is THE place to be if you want to build your business relationships and find new clients.
And producing content, and getting those 'views' is what it's all about, right?
Content and beating the algorithm is a huge passion of mine, and I'm unleashing all my secrets on May 11th so make sure you register my LIVE EVENT!
So your content (posts) when viewed on someones LinkedIn home page (also known as the timeline, or feed) is a VIEW.
Tracking your LinkedIn views or impressions and engagement is essential to analyse how your content performs. If you have a good understanding of these two metrics, it will better inform your future marketing strategy on the platform.
And here is your magic, simplified answer :
When a user see's your post for at least 300 milliseconds, this is a view. So if they scroll past your post in their feed, it's a view.
And remember, whilst views and impressions aren’t the most accurate way to measure your contents’ success, but they are a good starting point. So start watching those numbers folks, understanding the algorithm, and you'll quickly learn that LinkedIn is THE MOST POWERFUL platform for generating business, nurturing new professional relationships and making money!
